Newcastle Gets New Manager

Former England manager Steve McClaren has been appointed as the new head coach for Newcastle United. The 54 year old has turned the job down twice but has now signed a contract for three years which could get extended to eight years.

John Carver who took over the role as head coach throughout the season after Alan Pardew was recently sacked but he only won 3 out of 20 games.

Steve said, “This club has waited far too long to win a trophy. That’s one of my primary objectives.”
