Did you know that dogs can become depressed?

If not, you have been living a blissful ignorance for the last however long. But yes, much like us humans, dogs can become very sad when something bad happens or when they lose something close to them. We’ve all seen photos of dogs sitting by their late owners, but this… this pushes it to the next level.

A rather unfortunate dog called George has had a bad lick of it lately. In 2014, he lost his friend Blackie. Since then, the poor old doggo has been rather down, with anxiety and generally being a bit sad.

Until, on the anniversary of Blackie’s death, this fella wandered into George’s life:

Yup, the aptly named ‘Duck’ took a liking to the old dog, and the two have been inseparable since.

My heart hurts; this is too cute.

Nothing could ruin this story. Nothing.

Apart from maybe the fact that the family want to name Duck ‘Donald’.
