As the Premier League table stands Chelsea are two points clear at the top after second place Manchester City could only secure a draw away to Everton.
Chelsea secured all three point in Saturdays home game against Newcastle United. The blue’s two goals came from Oscar and Diego Costa to maintain their 100% league record at home.
Chelsea are only the fifth team in Premier League history to win their opening 10 home games. They follow Newcastle in 1995-96, Chelsea 2005-06 and Manchester City in both 2011-12 and 2013-14.
Newcastle’s caretaker boss John Carver is unlikely to prove himself and has little hope landing the job full time after an FA cup exit and this defeat at Stamford bridge.
