Roadhog is Getting Nerfed. Finally

For too long we’ve been pulled through walls. For too long we’ve been hooked, lined, and sunk down a cliff because of a crafty use of Roadhog’s chain.

No longer.

The changes will be coming to the Public Test Realm within the next week or so, after the game’s principal designer said on a forum post:

“The hook victim will now move in to the position directly in front of Roadhog, rather than just a straight line towards him. There is a cap on how far ‘to the side’ you can be pulled, so you can’t just hook someone, spin 180, and dump someone off a cliff.”

Goodman goes on to explain that Roadhog’s chain will become unlinked should the person caught leave his line of sight. This means that you’ll see less kill-cams of you being hooked from around a wall.

He said elsewhere that game’s most recent character, Sombra, could be getting a boost, suggesting she’ll be getting a stat upgrade at some point soon. Which would be cool, because of the most recent characters, she’s definitely a favourite among fans.

Overwatch recently got a new map, Oasis, and is the year’s first new content patch for 2017.

Along with this, there are definite rumours that Terry Crews has been hanging around the Blizzard offices, and there are hopes he will voice the next hero, Doomfist.
