Being a fan of a band is the most stressful, emotional and hard-core roller coaster of a lifetime. Legit.

That’s why here at b**p we have compiled a short list of six things only fans of bands will understand.

1. Trying to get gig tickets

D-Day is the day concert tickets go on sale. At 9am when Ticketmaster finally lets you buy your golden ticket of happiness, it’s like a military operation. Every laptop anyone has ever owned is set up in the living room patiently waiting…

2. Running a Twitter ‘fan account’

Only true fans of a band understand the struggle of running a Twitter account dedicated to the artists in question. And it always works out well when you have 3,000 followers who are all feeling the same things!

3. To listen to the leaked album, or to not listen to the leaked album? That is the question.

When it comes to album release time there is always a leak. But do you hold yourself to wait for the official release or indulge in the weakness of desire?

4. Stalking said band…

We ALL know the struggle of waiting outside of stadiums, arenas and hotels waiting for the band to leave, pining for the selfie of a lifetime.

5. Hearing your favourite song live and being REBORN.

The euphoria you feel when they play your favourite song can never be replicated. Sometimes it’s as if even your own wedding won’t bring you as much joy…

6. The ship of all ships

Finally, the most intense part of loving a band: the ships and OTPs that come with them. From Larry Stylinson (above) to Ziam… thinking and praying that members of the band are in love is a hard cross to bear.
