Grime MC and rapper, Stormzy, is up for a bunch of nominations, including best male, best grime act, best album, best song and best video. The 24-year-old will be at the awards ceremony along with rapper J Hus, who also has several nominations. The awards show will be held in Leeds on 29th November.

Stormzy already has a number of awards under his belt. I wonder where he puts them all.

J Hus has been nominated for best male, best album, best song and best video. He will be up against his friend and early collaborator Mostack, in the best male category. There is said to be some competition between the two.

Craig David has even been nominated for best R&B/soul, which he won way back in 2000. This year, however, he’ll be up against the Mercury Prize winner Sampha, who is also nominated for best male and best album.

We did a story on why Sampha is great. You might want to have a look…

Other artists up for awards include Jorja Smith, Stefflon Don, who are facing off on the best female and best newcomer categories. They will both be going up against Loyle Carner, who also has a best newcomer nomination.

Should be a good show, so save the date!
