Strictly Come Dancing beat The X Factor to the top rating on Sunday night with Strictly having 800,000 more viewers than X Factor at peak time.
The X Factor and BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing went head to head from 8pm. The dancing show strutted ahead with an average of 8.4 million viewers, while X Factor was left tone deaf with an average of only 7 million viewers.
The celebrity dancing show came back with a bang with Sir Bruce Forsyth there to hand his presenting baton to Claudia Winkleman, who now joins Tess Daily to present the show. This is said to be the first time the two entertainment shows have clashed. Simon was quick to say what he thinks by blaming Strictly’s producers for the clash.
May the best man win, Si.
