Swifty Ends Spotify Mystery

Last week Taylor Swift removed all her work from Spotify without any indication as to why. Obviously enjoying a moment of suspense, the singer came clean as to why she did that in an interview with Yahoo over the weekend. Taylor stated that Spotify is nothing but a “grand experiment”. The ‘Shake it off’ singer believes that music is an art and doesn’t agree with online streaming services such as Spotify “perpetuating the perception that music has no value and should be free”. Taylor wants to send a positive message to her fans that it shouldn’t be okay to create something and then get nothing in return.

She does have a point.
