The Q Awards 2014

The Q Awards took place last night at the Grosvenor House Hotel in central London. It celebrated its 25th year and was hosted by DJ Christian O’Connell. Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith and Paolo Nutini were among the big name winners last night. Nutini won best track award for ‘Iron Sky’ but was unable to collect his award as he was ill.

It was a great night for Kasabian, winning best live act and best act in the world. Pink Floyd walked away with the classic album award for The Dark Side of the Moon.

Winners of the Q Awards 2014:

Best New Act: Sam Smith

Best Track: Paolo Nutini- ‘Iron Sky’

Best Album: Elbow- The Take Off and Landing of Everything

Best Video: Jamie XX- ‘Sleep Sound’

Best Live Act:– Kasabian

Gibson Les Paul Award:– Johnny Marr

Q Classic Album:– Pink Floyd- Dark Side of the Moon

Q Idol:- Culture Club

Q Best Act in the World Today– Kasabian
