The Tortoise and the Hare – Classic Tale Come True

Recently an animal skiing competition in in north China’s Henan province took place. This unlikely event called animals of all kinds; including ducks, chickens, rabbits and even a tortoise, to compete in the ultimate animal skiing challenge.

Just like in the tale of the tortoise and the hare, the tortoise was the ultimate victor of the two, however both lost their gold medal to one very lucky duck.

Despite the fun of this event, some animal rights activists completely disagreed with it calling it “cruel” and stating that “it should be banned next year”. Luckily the organisers of this fantastic event are still carrying on with the skiing competition and look forward to see what other bizarre animals turn up next year.
