After 30 years of novels and world building, three progressively large games, and a massive fanbase, Andrzej Sapkowski’s The Witcher universe is coming to the small screen.

Netflix has officially started work on the upcoming “English language drama series” that will be produced by Oscar-nominated visual studio Platige Image S.A. and which will release at some point in the next year or so. Sean Daniel, who did the same for The Mummy franchise, and will work closely with the author to bring the characters and world to life, will executively produce the show.

The press release does not specifically state whether it will be CG animation or live action, however, it would be cool to get Doug Cockle on for the voice of the White Wolf once again!

If it shapes up as well as the games did, we’re in for a real treat!

But if they don’t include a bath scene I’m complaining.

Because who doesn’t like Geralt in a tub?
