With people hunting for ideas for what to buy people for Christmas, we are doing a bit of a ‘throw back’ review section, revisiting those classics that never grow old. Check out our review of a firm fave amongst the younger generations below:

Gangsta Granny is written by David Williams and is one of his number best sellers, published in 2011.

This book is about a boy called Ben and he is bored beyond belief after he is forced to stay at his grandma’s house. All she wants to do is to play Scrabble and eat cabbage soup. But there are two things Ben doesn’t know about his grandma: she was once an international jewel thief and she has been plotting to steal the crown jewels. Now she needs Ben’s help.

This is an exciting and hilarious book that makes you want to keep turning the pages untill the very end. It is all about the adventure Ben and his Grandma go on and the unexpected friend they meet on the way.

The book has a tragic twist which makes you want to question why at the end of the book and it may bring tears to your eyes.
