Tony Blair to stop milking it

Earlier this year, the report on the Iraq Inquiry was published and it condemned former Prime Minister Tony Blair’s decision to take Britain to war in 2003. That’s why it’s no surprise Blair has closed his commercial business, Tony Blair Associates, from which he has made millions.

Instead of making money solely for himself (although 20% of his time will be dedicated to making as much as he can), Mr Blair will focus his attention on charity work. He said in the announcement of the news to his staff  that he now wants to “concentrate the vast bulk of my time on the not-for-profit work that we do,” and that it should be reflected in the way that the company is structured.

It is estimated that the New Labour creator has made a surplus of £8 million on philanthropic work alone. We’re not sure how philanthropic making money out of philanthropy is, but…
