When Rihanna Fenty made her entrance onto the music scene back in 2005, there were thoughts that the Bajan Princess might just be a one track wonder. Teen pop stars were a dime a dozen and who knew what would be so special about this 17 year old. But fast forward a decade and well this teen pop star certainly made sure her presence was felt.

Her countless records have sold millions, her unique sense of style has seen her scoop many magazine and fashion awards and even her presence on social media maintains all eyes are on her, so paying homage to her achievements we here at b**p have selected what we consider her top five videos from her illustrious and far from over career thus far.

1) ‘Diamonds’

‘Diamonds’ is a song recorded by Rihanna for her seventh studio album, Unapologetic. The single topped music charts and became Rihanna’s twelth number one single on the Billboard Hot 1100. By May 2013 her single sold over 7.5 million copies worldwide, becoming one of the best – selling singles of all time.

The music video was shot by director Anthony Mandler. It was filmed in Los Angeles, California.

 

 

2) We Found Love

‘We Found Love’ is from her sixth studio album, Talk That Talk. It was written and produced by Calvin Harris who also features in the music video. ‘We Found Love’  is debuted at number one with 87,000 copies sold, on the UK Singles Chart, UK Dance Chart and UK Digital Download chart.

The music video was directed by Melina Matsoukas and was shot in County Down, Northern Ireland.

 

 

3) ‘Stay’

‘Stay’ is a song from her seventh studio album, Unapologetic. Worldwide the single has sold 10 million copies making it one of the best selling singles of all time. In 2014 I Heart Radio chose ‘Stay’ as the song of the year.

The music video was directed by Sophie Muller.

 

 

4) ‘What’s My Name?’

‘What’s My Name?’ is a song recorded for her fifth studio album, Loud. The song features rapper Drake. The song has sold more than 3 million in the US alone.

The music video was directed by Phillip Andelman and filmed in the Lower East Side of New York City.

 

 

5) Only Girl

‘Only Girl’ is a song from Rihanna’s fifth studio album, Loud. The song has sold 3,459,000 digital copies in the country, receiving a triple – platinum certification from the recording industry of America (RIAA).

The music video was directed by Anthony Maneller who also directed ‘Disturbia’, ‘Take a Bow’, ‘Rehab’ and ‘Russian Roulette’.
