Tulisa Trial Collapses

Ex X Factor judge, Tulisa Contostavlos, has today had her drug allegations trial dropped.

The 26 year-old was accused of boasting that she could ‘sort out’ cocaine for an undercover journalist from The Sun posing as a film producer. Tulisa was charged after the newspaper exposed her last June following her sex tape scandal months beforehand.

Also thrown out is the case of the man who the court heard supplied the drugs to the undercover journalist, Mazher Mahmood, in the first place and, who unlike Tulisa, pleaded guilty.

The judge told the jury that Mahmood had ‘lied to conceal the act he had most likely been manipulating the evidence’. This could potentially mean the case flips around as theoretically, Mahmood could face perjury charges.

When Tulisa left court for the final time, she blasted Mahmood and the Sun on Sunday’s scheme a ‘horrific and disgusting entrapment’ and proceeded to say it ‘should not be allowed’.
