Turning Sexism into Art

Rora Blue, a feminist artist from California, had created a rather wonderful photoset which addresses the hurtful comments she – and many other women – have received online. The series, Handle With Care, has drawn quite a bit of attention from Instagram users.

The images were inspired by the comments she received after putting her work online, from some of the more… moronic people on the interwebs.

The photos show a powerful message, with many people commenting about their similar experiences. She also did a rather stunning project on unsent text messages. The images have received thousands of likes and comments on social media.

It’s rather eye opening – considering we’ve all probably heard something like this before, it has a bit more impact when it comes from the other side.
