Twitter Accused of Bi-erasure

Twitter has been criticised for failing to show anything under the hashtag bisexual. Some are calling it ‘bi-erasure’, considering there are still images and tweets for ‘lesbian’ and ‘gay’ tags.

Twitter has said that there was no ‘erasure’ but there was simply an error with the system that has now been resolved.

But let’s be honest here. As someone who sits firmly on the fence between the sexuality tennis courts, this is a bit of an overreaction. Yes, the fact that Twitter sorting out their adult content, thus needing to block the bi tag is a bit stinging, because it is basically reducing bi-culture to nothing but porn essentially. But maybe give it a little time before you start criticising the site you continue to use.

Maybe wait before jumping to conclusions next time?

Does everything have to be a drama?

As of yet, however, the bi tag still doesn’t show photos.
