A Nike designer has hinted that the sportswear company will launch self-lacing shoes, similar to the shoes that featured on the hit movie Back to the Future 2. The shoes could go on sale as early as next year.
Nike auctioned off 1,500 pairs of Nike MAGs in 2011 based on Marty McFly’s super baller high-tops to raise money for the Michael J Fox Foundation. The 2011 auction managed to raise almost $6 million.
But although the MAGs light up when charged, they did not have an auto lace function. Something sneaker-heads have to look forward too.
