Union J-ust Nasty

Last night British boy band Union J’s collective Twitter account  shone a new light on the goodie-two-shoes band, after a very horrible tweet directed at a woman behind a sun lounger taking a photo of them was posted.

Although the tweet was not signed by any of the band, twitter went into overdrive as the ‘weight jibe’ certainly wasn’t funny at all. To make up for it, Josh Cuthbert, 22, has today engrossed himself in following lots of his fans – it looks to us like some form of apology.

Of course, after the offensive message was posted, it was removed shortly after. The four-piece band, made up of George Shelley, Josh Cuthbert, JJ Hamblett and Jaymi Hensley, must have had a stern talking to from their management.

Three members of the band are at the end of their time off in Barbados, following their full-on schedule after finishing fourth on the TV singing competition X-Factor back in 2012. Let’s hope they don’t have any more run-ins with excited fans, they could get told to chop off a leg next time…
