Marvel spin-off Venom has wrapped on filming and some Pokémon esc signs have been spotted in London, ahead of the Detective Pikachu movie.

Tom Hardy plays the iconic role of Eddie Brock, Spider-Man’s most prolific enemy. But, this movie will have no connection to the current Spider-Man movies or the MCU. Eddie Brock becomes infected by an alien symbiote, transforming him into a muscle-bound force to be reckoned with. Hardy has revealed that the film has finished shooting.

The actor posted on Instagram a behind-the-scenes image, with the caption:

‘Wrapped life back Bye.’

Wrapped. Life back. Bye 👋

We have yet to see any footage of the movie, with only one image being released last month. Some on-set videos have been taken, along with an official banner, but it’s been kept very under wraps.

Maybe that’s a good thing?

In other movie news, Detective Pikachu, the movie adaption of the popular DS title, has been filming in London, if these images are to be believed.

The photos from Twitter show a plaque with the fictional Ryme City Police Department’s mantra on. According to the plaque, Ryme is a place where Pokémon and humans live in harmony. The plot of the movie is unclear at this point, but Ryan Reynolds is set to voice the iconic character.

The movie will be based on the video game of the same name where Pikachu is a master detective, much like Sherlock Holmes. Joining the voice of Reynolds will be Justice Smith and Kathryn Newton. Goosebumps director Rob Letterman will be directing.
