Victoria Beckham is said to be very humble and honoured after becoming a goodwill ambassador for the UN’s Aids campaign. The former Spice Girl became inspired after she took a trip to South Africa. Victoria missed the opening of her first clothing store in London to attend the news conference in New York along with the executive director of the joint UN Programme on HIV/Aids, Michael Sidibe.

Posh Spice spoke up at the conference in New York and said “Children, babies, should not be born with HIV, and we can stop that. We are very, very close to stopping that which is why I’m sitting here. We can’t give up, we have to keep going. We are so close”.

Victoria joins other celebrity goodwill ambassadors such as Emma Watson and Angelina Jolie. Her husband, David Beckham, is also largely involved in charitable work including Comic Relief, Red Cross and UNICEF.
