X-Men Horror Movie?

The first trailer for the next X-Men movie has been released, called The New Mutants. This movie will have a very different direction than the other movies, looking more horror than ‘superheroish’. Directed by Josh Boone, he stated that the movie would be a ‘horror movie’ and the trailer certainly looks that way.

It looks creepy, for sure.

This isn’t the first time the X-Men line of shows and movies has stopped off at the horror station, however. The tv show Legion has some pretty creepy parts too.

The movie will star Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones), Anya Taylor-Joy (Split), Henry Zaga (13 Reasons Why), and Alice Braga (Elysium). All of whom are pretty decent actors to be fair. We’re excited to see where the movie takes us, in this darker world of mutants.

Other X-Men movies next year include Dark Phoenix, which will be about Jean Grey and Deadpool 2 which sees the return of Ryan Reynolds as everyone’s favourite Merc with a mouth.
