Queen Vicky: Geordie Shore star to I’m A Celeb champion

Vicky Pattison is no stranger to controversy and wild behaviour, but in the I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here jungle, the Geordie Shore star has proved herself to be a real, decent person – a far cry from the Vicky we thought we knew.

There was a time when an article of mine (Geordie Shoe) was published, completely slamming Vicky when she threw a shoe across a bar, then another when the advert for her fitness DVD (7 Days Fake) was banned from TV. At this time, I was under the impression – along with many others – that she was just another reality TV star who didn’t know what she was doing half of the time.

Geordie Shore isn’t a true reflection of Vicky Pattison and it seems that she has a really big heart and is affected deeply by her previous actions. Just last night we saw a re-play of her crying about not making her parents proud and it really struck a chord. Vicky is just like everyone else – she’s not the airhead on the trashy TV show, she’s a genuine person with good intentions (most of the time).

What we can really learn from Vicky and her jungle stint is that preconceptions aren’t always right. Vicky has spirit. She’s vibrant and is truly strong. You can’t really ask for much more than a witty Geordie woman, can you?

See you next week.
