The End! (Is nigh)

Welcome to the penultimate #YEAR13PROBLEMS column. Yikes. That is a scary sentence to type (even if I am typing it three columns in advance). The end is nearly upon us – and here are a few reflections from yours truly…

For a lot of people, these last few weeks have been some of the toughest of their life. Dealing with the stress of exams and university places is not easy. And that’s something that we can all feel proud of getting through this week when our exams finally end.

We’ve done a lot in Year 13. From personal statements to apprenticeship applications to juggling part-time jobs with five essays due next week, it’s been quite a ride. And this week, for most of us, it’s all officially over. And what an unusual feeling that truly is.

As the end of what might be the last exam some of us may ever sit, and the end of this column-writing journey for me, comes to an end, I just want to say thank you in advance. Thanks to those of you who’ve followed my crazy (sometimes nonsensical) ramblings from Year 10 to Year 13 – but there’ll be more of that next week.

So, as the end is nigh, keep your head screwed on and get ready for a party on Friday when it’s all over. And then the summer begins!

Best of luck.
