#YEAR13PROBLEMS

It’s okay to show you care about people

Sometimes in a world that seems full of betrayal, pain and heartache, showing you care about someone is either really difficult or really embarrassing. Either way, it’s as though there’s a conflict between head and heart, just as there is with so many things in life.

So you may truly care about someone and think it might be inappropriate, uncomfortable or as if the world will end if you show them you care. And that’s perfectly normal…sometimes.

You may wonder if it’s best to just not show or tell anyone that you care about them, especially new people in your life for fear of getting hurt.

But you can’t live your life in fear of what might not happen. And if you do, you should begin working out the best way around that for you.

Showing or telling someone you care about them is a good thing to do. It means there is no ambiguity in the relationship (whatever it may be) and there may even be less awkwardness if everyone knows where they stand. Yet the main reason you should show people you care about them is because of how long we have on Earth. Spoiler alert: it’s not long.

One day, the person you care about may no longer be with you. And if you never showed them or told them that you care for them, you will absolutely always regret that. It is because of this often painful truth of life that you should always show someone you care about your true feelings about them. You can never regret telling someone you love something about how you love them after all.

So, this week’s message is to spread the love. Make sure all of your friends, family members and anyone else know you care about them. Like I said before, one day it may be too late.

See you next week.
