You People Wait for This?

Couples vary from person to person. Obviously. There are a bunch of stereotypes when it comes down to it. You have the PDA ones, the annoying ones, the party ones, the chill ones and the weird ones. But there’s an unwritten rule when it comes to relationships.

The fart barrier.

Much like eating like a pig, there’s the misconception that this particular human trait needs to be hidden from your significant other. Like it’s a secret that you toot occasionally.

Now, depending on the kind of person you are, you might have some differing opinions on when it’s okay to break the notion that you’re an alien who doesn’t pass wind from time to time, but there seems to be a consensus.

In 2016, Mic surveyed 125 people and found that most people wait between two and six months to pull down that wall of class. Half of them admitted letting rip in front of their partner, while little over one fifth did it within the first few weeks. A quarter waited between six months to a year.

What?

A full year?

That’s a barrel of comedic moments you’re bottling up there.

Unless your partner has a stick where it shouldn’t be, the likelihood is, they’ll giggle.

Solid advice from your resident shut in.
