A few blogs and magazines have been whining recently about the amount of pictures that celebrities post on Instagram. “Celebs can’t help themselves”, “Don’t they just love themselves?” and “Don’t you hate it when celebrities post selfies on Instagram” are just three of many headlines.
We hate to break it to you but that’s what Instagram is for. The function of the app is to post pictures, whether it’s of your face, your dog or your beverage from Starbucks.
For those of you who feel traumatised by a recent selfie, here’s some sound advice: If you feel upset every time Beyoncé posts a picture of herself and Ivy, then by all means unfollow Beyoncé. If it bothers you when Taylor Swift and Cara Delevingne take a photo together, then maybe unfollow that Taylor Swift account you obviously follow.
You wouldn’t get angry at someone for tweeting on Twitter (right?), so why moan when people post pictures on a website DESIGNED for pictures?
