Live Review: Rudimental

Rudimental, the East London Jungle collective, have become progressively popular over the last few years, especially after scoring their second number one hit, ‘Waiting All Night.’ They may be well on their way to conquering the music industry after the success of their debut album Home, but would their live performance be as successful?

The group performed at the O2 Academy, Newcastle on October 11th. Tickets for their gig sold out easily, and their performance didn’t fail to impress on the night. People of all ages turned up to see Rudimental perform, showing that they are clearly the group to look out for right now.

Rudimental were joined on stage by vocalists Sinead Harnett (Baby) and Ella Eyre (Waiting All Night). Combined with countless instruments from guitars to trumpets and even spoons Rudimental’s show was nothing short of unusual, but in a unique and eloquent way.

Overall, the stage presence was amazing, and the boys definitely know how to get a crowd up on their feet, singing and dancing along. Their great hits, such as ‘Feel The Love’ and ‘Not Giving In’ saw energy levels reach an all time high throughout the venue (although, that may have partially been down to alcohol consumption for many!).

Definitely a band worth going to see live.
