With only one game remaining for most teams in the Premier League the focus is on who will be relegated this season. So far it is definite that Burnley and QPR won’t be in the Premier League next season but the third team is still yet to be determined.

So this is how the decider will happen…

Hull City will be taking on Manchester United in their final game, if Hull lose they are relegated regardless, if they draw they are also relegated, if they win they need Newcastle to get beat for them not to be relegated. So basically they need to win and Newcastle to lose for them to stay up, but with all facts in place Hull beating Manchester United is very unlikely.

Hull have never won a Premier League match in the month of May and haven’t beat United since 1974 so will need one hell of a miracle to turn the table around.

Newcastle United’s final match is against 11th place West Ham to decide whether their place in the Premier League will be secured. If Newcastle lose and Hull win their match against the reds then Newcastle will be relegated but if Hull lose or draw Newcastle will stay up regardless of their result. If Newcastle only manage to secure a draw and Steve Bruce’s side take the three points then they will be relegated.

Sunderland have also got two hard league games remaining and need to take one point from at least one of the games to avoid relegation.
