Welcome Bjorn the Bear

As part of their Christmas event schedule, the Discovery Museum is set to welcome Bjorn the Polar Bear this Sunday.
The animatronic bear, who has appeared all over the world, will appear at the museum several times throughout the day. The bear will growl, walk and act just like a real bear in a performance operated by Los Kaos, a street performance company specialising in pushing the physical boundaries of performance with a combination of traditional puppetry and modern technology, of which Bjorn is an example.
According to the company’s website, Bjorn has been called “a goose-pimple inducing experience” by the Great North Museum, and Kylie Minogue has confessed that she is “in love with” the bear. Hopefully the performance at the Discovery Museum will be just as successful.
The Discovery Museum is also experiencing great success with its “Fenwick’s Unwrapped” exhibition, and is also taking bookings for its Christmas Ghost Stories event.
