Arctics headlining Reading and Leeds

4 February 2014

By Sophie

After a show stopping performance at Glastonbury festival last year, Reading and Leeds appeared to be a little limited when it came to picking their headliners. Eminem was a great start to the line-up and just enough to wet your appetite for the festival but the following two headliners, Biffy Clyro and Green Day, seemed to push a lot of festival goers into Download’s campsite.

Things are clearly different this year though. Blink 182 as headliners was a huge deal for festival fans and the Arctic Monkeys, who were announced yesterday alongside many other huge acts, seems to have been the cherry on top for most people. Guaranteeing that there may be a lot of traffic on the festival’s individual sites in the next few days. The 1975 and You Me at Six also being announced can have done nothing but help ticket sales too.

It looks like Reading and Leeds are certainly the place to be this year, suck it Glasto.
