Chilling 999 Call By Alice Ruggles’s Flatmate

A devastating story has been widely reported in the news recently – the murder of Alice Ruggles by her ex-boyfriend. Harry Dhillon was found guilty of murder, after stalking Alice in the weeks leading up to her death.

Commenting on the verdict, Alice’s mother Sue Hills said:

“Justice has been done today but none of our family or any of Alice’s friends will ever be the same again.

“We will live the rest of our lives knowing that Alice should have been with us, wondering what she would have become, imagining all the people she would have continued to affect with her infectious sense of humour and her sheer love of life.

“Alice was a kind, incredibly sociable, fun-loving person. She had the ability to light up the room whenever she walked in. We miss her so much.

“We believe there are important lessons to be learned from what happened to Alice. We didn’t think she was the sort of girl that something like this could happen to.

A chilling recording of a 999 call made by Alice’s flatmate, after finding her body, has also been released, emphasising just how awful the injuries Alice suffered were. You can listen to it here.
