Since the announcement that DC would be creating its own streaming service, fans have wondered just what that would entail. In the past few months, details have been incredibly rare, aside from a few announcements of shows that would feature on the service. The company announced it would feature comics, movies and series’ on the platform.

DC Universe will be introducing a bunch of new shows on the service, with the likes of Swamp Thing, Titans and Doom Patrol. Animated shows will also be available, including the third season of Young Justice and a new Harley Quinn season too.

The service will also be pushing a selection of comic books too, however, not everything will be available through the app. The selection will be a curated list of thousands of DC comics.

Dan DiDio, DC Entertainment publisher, said:

‘This hand-curated selection from our decades of comic creations gives fans a thematic digital long box to carry with them on the device of their choosing or lets them watch exclusive video content on a big screen followed by the comic that inspired it.’

The app will be available on iOS, Android, Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and Android TV.

The price point has not been announced yet but if it’s similar to that of Netflix or Amazon Prime it could definitely be a contender, especially if you love DC stuff.
