So, Little Mix and Ellie Goulding release their albums on the same day… so its only natural we get a non biased correspondent to report on it, i.e. someone who can take their music or leave it.

Here’s how it works: we look at both artists, and we determine who we’d rather listen to, by comparing things like: general personality, live performances and celebrity news (how often they’ve been in the news for stuff they did wrong).

Lets start with how good they are live.

Little Mix was the first group to win the X-Factor, and while the X-Factor is TOTAL trash, you have to give them credit: the girls can sing, even if it is the same kind of stuff. You can view that here. Pretty good, right? And in comparison to the album version, it’s pretty much right on the mark.

Now we have Ellie. Oh..oh Ellie. It’s undeniable that she has a fan-base, yes, and yes I bought her two albums; however, while some of her songs are pretty good, her live performances are lacking a tad. So if we take her song ‘Anything Could Happen’, which you can listen to here, and we compare it to her live… It’s never going to be the same, but the amount of autotune is very apparent… and puts your current writer off a few of her songs. Which is a shame because she’s not a terrible artist. 

Now for some juicy gossip.

Little Mix…there is little to none… One of them managed to perfect the smoky black eye-shadow look? That’s about it.

Now. Ellie. Should we count how many times her break ups and alleged boyfriends have been in the news with her? Or the song that Ed Sheeran wrote about her? You know, the one that claims she went upstairs with Niall from 1D while he was downstairs. *Sighs* It’s difficult to keep a fixed head when it’s so obvious who’s going to win this.

Now personality.

Honestly, they’re both pretty good people. Ellie is quirky, if not a little hipstery (but who isn’t nowadays), and the girls in Little Mix are all rather funny and nice people too. But I think we know who’s going to win this.
