*THERE WILL BE UNCOMFORTABLE WORDS USED IN THIS ARTICLE. REALLY SORRY*

Straight up, I couldn’t sleep over the thought of people defending this absolute nonsense. So here are the facts.

Literally, not 24 hours ago, famous YouTuber PewDiePie (Felix Kjellberg) dropped the N bomb on stream. Everyone is obviously upset, or outraged, or annoyed etc. He said the word with what is called a ‘hard R’, which is apparently far worse than the fact he said the word.

It’s incredibly awful that he said it and anyone who thinks otherwise needs to take a long hard look at themselves. It’s terrible to think that his fan base would defend him once again after the whole Nazi thing.

If you want to watch the moment, by all means, go ahead:

Obviously, Twitter had a bit to say:

One of the responses from Sky Williams was probably the most poignant.

Another response was from video game man himself Jim Sterling:

Even game developer Sean Vanaman, the guy who worked on Firewatch, a 2015 walking simulator, even flagged Felix’s let’s play of the game, claiming on Twitter:

He continued by saying:

“I am sick of this child getting more and more chances to make money off of what we make. He’s worse than a closeted racist: he’s a propagator of despicable garbage that does real damage to the culture around this industry.”

I hate the internet.

Damn it.

Just as we were starting to think, huh, maybe he isn’t so bad. Maybe he has actually changed. But no. His humour, the entertainment and fun that is supposed to come with a personality like PewDiePie, is undermined by his constant ‘mess-ups’. He even tried to backtrack saying he ‘forgot he was streaming’, thus implying that this is how he talks when he isn’t on camera.

It’s normal for him to use this kind of language. It’s not funny. It’s not clever. At risk of feeling like a teacher belittling a student, it needs to be said.

Disappointing Felix.

Very disappointing.
