If you’d have said Jumanji would have made more money than The Last Jedi we’d have called you crazy. Well. We’re about to eat some words.

Sony’s Jumanji: Enter The Jungle left audiences and critics alike dumbfounded as if smashed the box office over the holiday season. It is now a smash hit for the company and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s most successful film. The movie has made around $353.3 million in the US alone. These numbers come from the latest box office report from Deadline. Dwayne’s previously most successful movie was Furious 7 which made a tidy $353 million.

According to the site, Sony has made the decision to move ahead with a sequel.

The writers for the first movie, Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner will return for the sequel. The stars from the first movie will also return, including Kevin hart, The Rock, Jack Black and Karen Gillan.

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle has made more than $850 million (on a budget of $100 million), so it makes complete sense that they would make another.

In other movie news, we have our first reveal of Cable from the upcoming Deadpool 2 movie! Careful, there are some swears.

It looks amazing.
