Right now, you are reading this on a computer, tablet or phone and have probably been thinking all day, occupying your mind with countless thoughts and questions – some useful, some not. Inner Worlds, Outer Worlds is a documentary by Dan Schmidt that strives to rewind our thoughts and questions right back to simplicity and to see the basics of humanity and all life on earth.

Schmidt focuses on many beliefs and traditions from the east, including Buddhism, that capture historical and profound concepts about spirituality. At times, Inner Worlds, Outer Worlds can be very complex and difficult to understand, especially when discussing geometric patterns, but with the stunning visuals of patterns automatically made by nature and vibrations included, these concepts can be understood. The documentary is particularly fascinating when discussing the spiral that has been replicated for thousands of years as well as the flower of life and a theory that everything is connected with everything, showing that ancient religions and philosophies knew and understood things that science has only just proven today.

It would be easy to be put off by the dense information the film provides you with, but as it is split into four parts, you can easily take in each piece one at a time and digest the information before moving on to the next revolutionary idea. In particular, the first segment about akasha is filled with brand new concepts, but includes arguments that support the logic of the whole film: there is one source that connects all.

Anyone who is interested in the true nature of Earth should watch the documentary, as it really contributes to curiosity and any beliefs you may already have. Inner Worlds, Outer Worlds is an intense documentary on spirituality, nature and mindfulness, connecting with you as a viewer on a highly personal level.
