Demi Defends a JoBro

Last week one of the Jonas Brothers, Joe Jonas, spoke the truth about his experience as a Disney kid and growing up in the spotlight. Not only did Jonas dish his own dirt, but he dished the dirt on another Disney star turned singer, Demi Lovato – who played Sonny in the ‘comedy show about a comedy show’ Sonny With a Chance.
The Love-bug singer was open, telling all about his first ever drug experience, announcing: “The first time I smoked weed was with Demi and Miley. I must have been 17 or 18. They kept saying ‘Try it! Try it!’ So I gave it a shot, and it was alright. I don’t even smoke weed that often anymore.” Dropping our poor little Demetria in smack bang into ‘harsh comment’ hell.
Although many would’ve been furious if their best friend (and ex boyfriend) spoke about their secrets, Lovato remained gracious and, like always, took the problem in her stride, telling Bang Showbiz: “I want to commend him for how brave he was. He never was able to share his side of the story, he kept it really quiet. I was going through my stuff, and he got blamed for a lot of it”. What a forgiving friend.
Also, the JoBro member blurted out about his former relationship with troubled Lovato, after her rehab stint in late 2010, the world was to know about her struggle with self harm, bulimia and bipolar disorder. “I felt like I needed to take care of her, but at the same time I was living a lie, because I wasn’t happy but felt like I had to stay in it for her, because she needed help,” Joe revealed to Vulture.
