Cadbury No Yolk

14 January 2015

Shut the internet down and head to the nearest bridge as chocolate giant, Cadbury, have dropped a bombshell. They have revealed that their legendary crème egg will no longer be made from their delicious Cadbury’s dairy milk chocolate. The eggshell will now be made from standard cocoa mix chocolate… No yolk!

2015 will go down in confectionery history as the year that we Britons will no longer taste a traditional Cadbury’s crème egg. For 52 years the creme egg recipe has been left untouched, some angry people took to Twitter to vent their frustration with one man tweeting “#CremeEgg omg I spat out my crème egg today what the hell is the shell made of now? Cod? It don’t taste like chocolate”.

We clearly made a mistake back in 2010 when the chocolate giant was sold to US food company, Kraft.

Cadburys dug the knife deeper into our hearts when they publicised that the eggs will now be sold in a five multipack box instead of a six multipack box. Is this some kind of sick joke?

We have been left totally shell-shocked!
