The FA Cup never fails to surprise football fans and this  weekend was no different.

Premier League champions Manchester City took on Middlesbrough FC at the Eithad Stadium on Saturday. Anybody who looked at the history of football, statistics or just the fact City are a league above ‘Borough would have told you all you needed to know about the anticipated result this weekend, but it wasn’t what we expected.

The FA Cup may be unpredictable but fans were shocked when the reds secured all three points against City with an comfortable 2-0 victory.

Premier League leaders Chelsea also disappointed after Bradford City stepped up to the mark securing an 4-2 victory. Chelsea’s defeat means they have failed to reach the fifth round of the FA Cup for only the second time in 17 seasons. Bradford may be ranked 49 places below Mourinho’s side but they showed passion, effort and character to fight back from going 2-0 down after 38minutes. They chased every ball and battled hard which certainly paid off in the end.
