Microsoft has pulled an ad they allegedly stole from a user on Reddit, for the newly released port of Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds.

Reddit user Macsterr said that a tweet from the official Xbox Twitter used an image like their own fan made ad concept. They posted on the game’s subreddit in November. Xbox has now deleted the tweet in question, saying the matter is under investigation.

Xbox spokesperson Major Nelson said:

“I wanted to let you know that this is being investigated. In the meantime, our official channels have pulled down the asset in question. I’ll follow up with the OP /u/macsterr/ once I get more details.”
Not so sneaky Microsoft.

Not other updates on the matter have been posted.

The port for PUBG launched on Xbox One on 12 December. The port remains in Early Access on console, though some fans have complained of poor performance compared to the PC version. The PC version is now on its 1.0 release.

The developer hopes that the game will come to every console soon. The PC release has just reached 3 million concurrent users.

Neat.
