Stephen Colbert is the shining star we need right now in a night sky full of sadness.

The Late Show is immensely popular due to its 50/50 split of comedy and serious issues. Over the last few weeks, Colbert has given a little more attention to the now official GOP Donald Trump.

But this time, he took it to the next level.

Colbert dressed up as Caesar Flickerman from The Hunger Games to the 2016 Republican National Convention in Cleveland this weekend.

Or what he calls “The 2016 Republican National Hungry for Power Games.”

He made a slogan and everything:

Colbert crashed the event and used his air time to rip into Trump as best he could.

He stayed in character for the entirety of it, and when his velvet-wearing self was finally dragged off stage he said probably the most important line of the evening.

“Look, look I know I’m not supposed to be up here, but neither is Donald Trump.”

And of course, everyone agreed:

The Hunger Games seems appropriate. Have you ever looked closely at President Snow?
