Radio 1 Big Weekend Tickets Gone!

Tickets for Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Exeter have sold out, just over an hour after going online.

A total of 25,000 were available for each day of the event, which will take place in Devon on May 28th and 29th.

Coldplay will make an appearance on the second day with Ellie Goulding, and The 1975 will perform with Bring Me The Horizon, Chase & Status, Craig David and Jake Bugg on the first day.

So many acts!

Now the only way to get into the event is through giveaways on Radio 1.

Most of the tickets were sold to people in Exeter, Teignbridge and the surrounding areas.

The show is Europe’s biggest free ticketed event and has travelled all over the UK over the last 13 years. Radio 1 warned Facebook users about a fake page that encouraged users to “like, share and comment” on photos for a chance to win tickets.

Radio 1’s Big Weekend will be broadcast live on Radio 1, with highlights on 1Xtra. All performances will be available shortly afterwards on the Radio 1 iPlayer channel.
