After the launch of the X Factor live shows last night that attracted 7.6 million viewers between 7.30 pm and 10pm in an epic two hour run, Britain thinks it has found its winner.

Out of the sixteen acts we saw perform, there is definitely some star potential between them: Lauren Platt, just turned 17 provided us with a unique version of Pharrell Williams’ smash-hit ‘Happy’ while Ben Haenow, a van driver from Croydon, nailed a cover of ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’.

The best act was without a doubt saved until last. Closing the show was the Italian, pug-loving ‘bear’ – Andrea Faustini. What a voice.

Faustini’s version of Michael Jackson’s ‘Earth Song’ gave me (and the rest of the nation) shivers, a smile on our face and it absolutely blew everyone else’s performance out of the equation. Despite him being Italian, followers of the reality show (as well as Simon Cowell himself) are willing to adopt him here in Britain because of his unprecedented talent so early in the show.

With Ladbrokes confirming that Andrea is 7-4 to walk off with the series title after the first live show, it is practically confirmed that the 20-year-old is going to go far. Mentored by Spice Girl Mel B, Andrea says it is a ‘dream come true’ – but it won’t be his only one coming true if his performances so far are anything to go by. You certainly don’t get over 61,000 followers on Twitter after three performances for nothing, that’s for sure.

It won’t surprise us here at b**p if he is the  X Factor 2014’s  winner this year. Team Andrea all the way to the final.
