Katy Perry has sold 11 million albums and 81 million singles worldwide making her one of the best selling artists of all time. Her latest album Prism has already passed the million mark ensuring her piggy bank is constantly full.  We have taken it back to 2010 when Katy shot to fame, putting together her top five music video’s from the 7 years.

We kick off the top 10 with ‘Last Friday Night’, ‘Last Friday Night’ is known for its catchy and playful nature.

In the US the song topped the Billboard Hot 100 and spent two weeks there. As of January 2015 the track has sold 3.7million copies and has been played an outstanding 450,000 times.

Even if you tried to dislike ‘Firework’ admit it you always find yourself singing or dancing along to the catchy lyrics and melody whenever you hear it on the radio. ‘Firework’ received mostly positive reviews from music critics, with almost most of them mentioning the melody.

The song topped numerous charts including the Hot Dance Club Songs, Pop Chart, Adult Pop Chart and Contemporary Chart.

‘Firework’ is one of Katy’s six songs to top 5 million paid downloads.

‘This is How We Do’ may have got mixed reviews from music critics but didn’t do as well as Katy would of wished for. The track was praised for it’s old school vibe, calling it the song of the summer, whilst others criticized the lyrics.

Despite the poor chart performance and only reaching 33 in the UK Singles Chart making it her lowest charting single to date and first to miss the top thirty, the song still managed to receive 229 million views on YouTube and land in third place under her top 10 tracks.

‘Dark Horse’ combines the genres of trap and hip-hop, the track features Juicy J.

The song was part of a competition for soft drink giant, Pepsi in which fans could vote via Twitter on whether they preferred either ‘Dark Horse’ or ‘Walking on Air’ to be released as the first promotional single for the her album Prism.  In the UK, on September 22, 2013, ‘Dark Horse’ debuted at number 21 on the UK Singles Chart. It re-entered the chart at number 19 on February 2, 2014. Four weeks later, it reached a new peak of number 4.

Last but by no means least we have ‘Roar’ an inspiring song based on sticking up for yourself which screams ‘self empowerment’, ‘Roar’ is basically a song that anyone, and not just her fans, can relate to.

The track was a success after reaching number one on the US Billboard Hot 100and numerous other charts. The song topped the charts in 97 different countries and is one of the best selling singles worldwide, with worldwide sales of more than 9.9 million.
