CD Project Red’s Geralt of Rivia is making a return, in the upcoming sword swashing game SoulCalibur VI in 2018. In partnership with Bandai Namco, our favourite witcher will be making a comeback, with his ‘signature fighting style’ translating to a new style of game.

The developer posted on Twitter yesterday, that they had some news this week and it was all but confirmed up until this point.

Needless to say, he looks as cool as he did last time we saw him, in CD Project Red’s heartfelt thank you for 10 years of The Witcher.

In addition to the character, his voice actor, Doug Cockle will return to form too, along with the training grounds shown in the popular series. His fighting style looks incredible. A mix of magic and might, holding one of his two swords with skill.

CD Project Red’s community head, Marcin Momot stated:

‘We’ve collaborated with Bandai Namco artists to faithfully recreate Geralt, and shared original Witcher 3: Wild Hunt assets like Geralt’s model, animations, and weapons.

I think Bandai Namco did an outstanding job of capturing all the details and introducing The Witcher to SoulCalibur in a way fans of both series will enjoy.’

Definitely worth checking out.

In other fighting game news, we finally have a release date for Noctis, Final Fantasy 15’s poster emo boy, coming to Tekken 7.

He will be available for purchase (or download should you own the season pass), on the 20th of this month. That’s next Tuesday!

Neat.
