Ben Haenow was crowned winner of X-Factor 2014 after he went head to head with Fleur East this past weekend. Both of the finalists were mentored by Simon Cowell in the over 25’s category.

Ben and Fleur sang two songs in front of an audience of 10,000 at the Wembley Arena with the winner being decided upon by the public, who voted a staggering 10 million times.

The final results showed that Ben had been the most popular throughout the competition, receiving the most votes except in the first three weeks.

The Croydon born singer received 12% more votes than Fleur last week and an astonishing 57.2% of the votes in last nights final.

Fleur East was in the middle when it came to votes but shot up to second after her live performance of Jessie J’s ‘Bang Bang.’ Despite Fleur having ‘the look’ of a popstar, Ben was the most consistent throughout the competition and obviously favourite to win.

The 29 year old released a cover of One Republics ‘Something I Need’ on December 15, 2014, which we are sure will be the bookies favourite for the Christmas number one.
