The star’s manager Phil Dale stated, “The family would like to express their thanks to the many people who have been fans of the Chuckle Brothers and they know that they will share in part the great, great loss they feel.”

ChuckleVision began in 1987 and only ended in 2009, meaning thousands of children across multiple generations in the UK grew up watching the Chuckle Brothers duo.

His partner and brother Paul Chuckle said, “I’ve not just lost my brother, I’ve lost my theatrical partner of many, many years and my very best friend.”

In 2014, the Chuckle Brothers collaborated with rapper Tinchy Stryder who tweeted this touching tribute:

The profits from the track ‘To Me, To You (Bruv)’ went to the African Caribbean Leukaemia Trust:

The pair returned to our TV screens earlier this year but Barry’s health deteriorated towards the end of filming. At his doctor’s request, filming was cancelled while Barry tried to recover but his health worsened.

His manager released this statement: “It is with great sadness that the family announce that Barry passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his wife Ann and all his family.”
