British Tennis Player in Shock After Vegas

British tennis player Laura Robson has said she is ‘in shock’ after the Las Vegas shootings, as she was one of the 22,000 people who attended the outdoor concert.

The 23-year-old said she was unhurt on social media.

‘I’m OK. We were right there…sounded like fireworks at first then everyone started running. Scary,’

A friend of hers was apparently deeper in the crowd, who began helping people as shots started falling on the crowd.

Robson’s last match was on Friday, in California, in the ITF tournament. She lost the quarter-finals, unfortunately. She wasn’t the only British sportsperson in the city at the time, however. Surrey cricketers Jade Dernbach, Tom Curran and Stuart Meaker were in the city at the time, but away from the incident.
