Every Moth Has Its Flame

So, France suffered the final defeat of the Euros to Portugal on Sunday, after Ederzito Lopes scored the game’s only goal.
A knee injury saw that Portugal’s golden boy was off the pitch just 45 minutes in. Weeping. Maybe if he did a little less acrobatics and more playing, he mightn’t have injured himself, but I digress.
But it wasn’t the injury that his fans were grumbling about.
It was the moths.

Capital FM reported that the moth swarm was due to the stadium lights being left on the night before.
And this gave birth to probably one of the best gifs this decade.
I missed the first half of the match making this gif. Totally worth it. #Moth #Ronaldo #Euro2016Finale pic.twitter.com/URc4xpygBc

And of course Twitter had a field day. (HA, field pun. Because the football pitch…)
